This wedding was one I was so excited to capture, Ashley got in touch with me in 2018, 3 rearranges later we finally got the day they had longed for, for 3 whole years. This was my second visit to the Mytton and Mermaid in Shrewsbury, and it's safe to say its becoming one of my favourites. I love it there. It's relaxed and picturesque with the food and service being just fantastic.
The day felt full of love and admiration for Ashley and Andy, you could see how happy everyone was to see them finally tie the knot. When Ashley's father saw her for the first time, I'm not going to lie, even I shed a tear (luckily wearing a mask and having a camera over my face helped disguise that) He was literally bursting with pride, myself and the lovely ladies on the reception could see that and we all got choked up!
Andy had his eldest son as his best man, this was such a nice touch. You could see how nervous he was but he clutched at the ring box like I've never seen before and proudly presented the rings during the ceremony.
Food, well that was epic. It was a scorcher of a day (not going to lie it felt 10 times hotter in a mask!) and a BBQ was served! The smell as we were heading off to do the couples shots was just devine! Ashley and Andy kindly fed me, so I got to try the food first hand! Credit to the BBQ master!
Whilst there wasn't the dancing in the evening, the day wasn't lacking in substance, 30 of their nearest and dearest in the room celebrating their love for one another, really what more could you ask for.
