Mark & Dionne | Whittington Castle |

Yay, I was back at Whittington Castle, I love love love the venue and it's my 3rd time there capturing a wedding day.

Dionne and Mark are two of the loveliest people, and one of their priorities for the day was to make sure everyone had the best day. Lets be honest, the last 18 months has been a bit testing at times (to put it mildly) and Dionne and Mark thought of everything to make the day super fun and super special.

The Ceremony

It was a first for Whittington Castle, but the ceremony was outdoors. One thing positive out of covid is that outdoor spaces are being used more, it also means that more guests could go as the indoor space is retricted. It was dry and warm so outdoors went ahead, with a canopy above, just in case. We are in Britain after all!

The Reception

After the ceremony we did the 20 second hop over the gate to the White Lion where a stunning marque waiting for their guests. I was so impressed with the venue and the marque was dressed beautifully.

Dionne and Mark had some surprises saved for the day (which I got to hear about before thank goodness) One was singing waiters! This was a new one for me, but it was fab! After the 'waitor' was forced to make a speach to the bride and groom, she burst into song and confessed that they were there to entertain them! They had people dancing in their seats and live music is so nice to hear after so long without!

I also want to take a second to say how blooming marvellous the food was! Wowser! It was soooo tasty and there was sooo much food, Mark and Dionne wanted to make sure nobody was hungry, which was another of their wonderful touches.

Last but not least, a photobooth! I love a photobooth, so do the guest as you will see below!

So I have waffled on too much, but it was a lovely day celebrating a lovely couple.
